Why businesses on Sage Intacct outsource

Sage Intacct is chosen for dimensions, multi-entity consolidation and controls. Those same features create the workload: every transaction needs the right department, location and project, every entity needs its own reconciliations, and intercompany balances must agree before consolidation runs. A lean finance team ends up doing entry work and chasing approvals instead of the analysis Intacct was bought for.

A dedicated accountant, backup and team lead absorb that work without adding headcount. We code bank feeds with matching rules, reconcile each entity's accounts, post intercompany and allocation entries, and run the consolidation with eliminations checked. Your controller reviews and approves through Intacct's own workflows; our CloseTrack checklist and Two-Tier Review show what was done and by whom.

What we do inside Sage Intacct

Bank feeds and matching rules

We connect bank feeds, maintain the bank transaction matching rules so recurring items match automatically, and clear the rest by hand against AR receipts and AP payments.

Bank reconciliation by entity

Every bank, credit card and clearing account in every entity is reconciled to a statement each month, with reconciling items listed and aged rather than written off.

Dimensions on every transaction

Department, location, project, customer, vendor, class and any user-defined dimensions are completed on every line, so reports and dashboards slice correctly without manual fixes.

AP approvals and purchasing workflows

Bills are entered or captured through AP automation, routed through your approval workflows, and matched to purchase orders where you use purchasing, ahead of payment runs you release.

Intercompany and allocations

We post intercompany transactions so due-to and due-from balances agree, run dynamic allocations for shared costs, and confirm everything ties before the period is closed.

Consolidations, multi-currency and reporting

We run global consolidations with currency translation and eliminations, then maintain your financial report writer packs and dashboards so the board sees the same numbers every month.

Integrations we reconcile

  • Bill.comBills, approvals and payments synced to Intacct AP and cleared against bank feeds.
  • ExpensifyExpense reports posted with dimensions intact and reimbursements matched to the bank.
  • RampCard transactions coded with dimensions in Ramp and reconciled to the card statement in Intacct.
  • BrexBrex spend synced to the general ledger and tied to the monthly card statement.
  • AvalaraTax calculated on invoices and orders reconciled to the tax liability by entity.
  • ADPPayroll journals imported by entity and department and tied to the bank and quarterly filings.

Migration to and from Sage Intacct

Moving to Sage Intacct

Moving to Sage Intacct from QuickBooks Online or Xero is a redesign, not a copy, so we start by defining the chart of accounts and dimensions with you. Old accounts and classes are mapped to it, and opening balances load by entity from reconciled trial balances with open AR, AP and fixed assets. The first close runs in parallel with the old system before you switch reporting.

Moving from Sage Intacct

Leaving Sage Intacct usually means a move to NetSuite or another ERP. We close and reconcile the final period in every entity, then export the general ledger with dimensions, open AR and AP, fixed asset registers and intercompany balances. Each dimension is mapped to the new system's segments, and Intacct stays open read-only until the first consolidated close in the new system agrees.

Common Sage Intacct reconciliation problems we fix

  1. Dimensions missing on posted transactions

Bills, journals and bank entries posted without a department or location leave a large unassigned bucket in every report. We find them with a custom report, correct them in bulk where Intacct allows, and make the dimension required at entry.

  2. Intercompany balances out of agreement

Due-to and due-from accounts drift when one side of a transaction is posted late or to the wrong entity. We reconcile the pairs before each close and post the correcting entries with both entities' approval.

  3. Bank feed matching rules matching the wrong items

A broad rule clears deposits against the wrong receipts, so the bank reconciles but the customer aging is wrong. We review the matched history, unmatch the errors and narrow the rule.

  4. Unposted or draft entries at close

Journal entries and AP bills left in draft or awaiting approval are missing from the numbers everyone is reviewing. Our CloseTrack checklist confirms every queue is empty before the period is closed.

  5. Consolidation eliminations not tying

Intercompany revenue and expense do not eliminate because the transactions used different accounts or dimensions on each side. We standardize the intercompany accounts and rerun the consolidation until the eliminations net to zero.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work inside my existing Sage Intacct subscription?

Yes. You create user records for our accountant, backup and team lead with the roles and entity permissions you choose, and you keep the subscription, the Sage relationship and the admin role. We work in your company every day, and access can be changed or removed whenever you decide.

Can you clean up my Sage Intacct file?

Yes. A cleanup reviews unreconciled accounts by entity, missing dimensions, unposted entries, unapplied AR receipts, intercompany balances and stale matching rules. We correct at source, reconcile every account to a statement and re-run consolidations, then hand the file to the monthly close. Our bookkeeping cleanup service describes the scope and the hand-off.

How much do Sage Intacct bookkeeping services cost?

Pricing depends on volume and scope, so we send a custom quote within 1 business day. The drivers are the number of entities and bank accounts, transaction volume, how many dimensions must be maintained, whether AP, AR or fixed assets are in scope, and how many currencies you consolidate.

Can you run our multi-entity close in Sage Intacct?

Yes. We reconcile every entity, post intercompany and allocation entries, confirm eliminations tie, run the consolidation and deliver the reporting pack on a fixed calendar. Your controller approves each step through Intacct's workflows and our Two-Tier Review. Our multi-entity bookkeeping and month-end close services set out the checklist we follow.

Will you replace our controller or work with them?

We work with them. Your controller keeps ownership of policy, approvals and judgment calls; our team does the daily coding, reconciliations and close preparation that eat their time. Where there is no controller, our controller services page explains the review layer we can add.

Do you cover Sage Intacct in the UK, Canada and Australia?

Yes. Sage Intacct is sold in all four markets we serve, and our team works in the local edition with VAT, GST/HST or GST configured by entity. We prepare VAT workings for the person who submits, and BAS workpapers for your TPB-registered BAS agent or accountant, and follow local spelling in the reporting pack.
