# How we measure our numbers

Every number on ledgerbpo.com has a rule behind it. Counts such as services, platforms and industries are computed from the site’s own data at build time. Market figures are quoted from named third parties with the year. Client results and testimonials are published only after the owner verifies them, anonymised at the client’s request, and never marked up as reviews or ratings.

## Market figures

Ranges for outsourced bookkeeping fees, in-house costs and offshore rates are quoted from named publishers with the year (for example indinero, RadCity, NerdWallet, IBISWorld, Grand View Research, UK and Australian fee surveys). They are orientation, not LedgerBPO prices, and they are refreshed quarterly on the striking-distance review.

## Client results

Case-study numbers come from the client’s own system exports at the start and end of an engagement, are anonymised at the client’s request, and are published only after the owner verifies them. Where a figure is pending, the page says so. We never mark up testimonials as reviews or ratings, and we never invent quotes.

## First-party research

The Cost Index and AR Days Benchmark use bands rather than exact figures, require at least five engagements per published cell, carry a version and date, and are licensed CC BY 4.0. The first releases appear when the owner approves the dataset.

## Calculators

Each tool shows its formula in words and lists its assumptions and sources on the page. Results are estimates for orientation and are computed in your browser.

1. Footnote 1 (KPI band): founding year and countries served are company facts.
2. Footnote 2 (KPI band): service and platform counts are computed from the site data at build time.
